My Fave 4 series is all about sharing things I love! Tried and true resources, books, materials, and more that I have found invaluable in my teaching. This post is my Fave 4 Science of Reading Podcasts!
Do you listen to podcasts? I discovered them and fell in love! It’s like PD in your car! I also listen in the summer while I’m at the pool with my kids. Doesn’t get any better than that. In case you didn’t know a Science of Reading podcast was HUGE in my Science of Reading journey! I’ll tell you more below! You can click HERE to see my other Fave 4 posts.
1. The Reading Teachers Lounge
This is my favorite SOR podcast. It was also my first and a huge part of my science of reading journey. HERE Check out the episode that I am on Season 4 Episode 4 talking about Scarborough’s Reading Rope, as well as Wiley Blevins and more.
2. Science of Reading Podcast by Amplify.
This one is a solid podcast to listen to no matter where you are on your SOR journey. Check it out HERE. Interviews with Louisa Moats David Kilpatrick and more!
3. Melissa and Lori Love Reading Podcast
I love this podcast because like The Reading Teacher’s Lounge this podcast is hosted by two teachers that make their content very relatable and actionable. And it has lots of episodes geared towards upper elementary. Listen here.
4. Teaching Reading and Learning
This Science of Reading podcast with Laura Stewart includes an interview with Linnea Ehri (Ehri’s phases). As well as an interview with Anita Archer. You can listen to them here.
I hope you found some new podcasts to enjoy or that this post has encouraged you to start listening to podcasts! Did I forget any? Leave me a comment.
